Library Service Confirms Opening of Seven Branches

The Library Service of the Velocity Interoperability Network today confirmed the opening arrangements for its seven branch libraries. The Central Library, the Harbour Branch and the University Branch open on Monday 7 September 2026; the Northern Branch on Tuesday 8 September; the Western Branch on Wednesday 9 September; the Eastern Branch on Thursday 10 September; and the Transit Reading Room on Friday 11 September. Every branch offers lending, returns, reservations collection, study places and a reference and enquiry desk. The Central Library and the University Branch additionally hold the reference collection, the official publications collection and bookable study rooms. The Transit Reading Room is a reading and returns point only and does not issue loans.

Members may borrow and return items at any branch regardless of where their membership was issued. Items reserved from the catalogue may be collected at the branch of the member's choice, and inter-branch requests are delivered twice weekly.
